Offnote
A little scratchpad for Windows. It pops up over whatever you're doing, you jot the thing down, and it gets out of the way.
Ctrl Alt Space opens it from anywhere (you can change that). Esc hides it.
Windows 10 and 11. Free for 7 days, then $5.
Type a word on the first line and the note changes:
mathanswers on the right as you type. Variables, ans, percentages, units, currencies.listcheckboxes. Ticked things fade out and sink to the bottom.timer 25a 25-minute countdown. Drop in a screenshot (or paste one) and you get its text. That uses the OCR built into Windows, so it works offline.
Old notes tidy themselves away after a week, unless you pin them. If you want to keep one, send it to a .txt or .md file, Obsidian or OneNote.
Your notes stay in one file on your PC. No account, no cloud, no AI, no analytics. It only goes online to check for updates, to get currency rates if you turn them on, and once to activate your licence. Each of those has an off switch (more on that).
It's free for 7 days with everything unlocked, no email needed. After that it's $5, once, for up to two PCs, and you can get a refund within 14 days, no questions asked. If you don't buy, your notes just go read-only. Nothing gets deleted. Buy a licence
I made Offnote because I wanted something like Antinote on Windows, and there isn't one. It's a separate app and isn't affiliated with Antinote.
